Sony KDL-40Z4100 wierd colors-advice needed...

New in 2009--the screen has florescent looking psychedelic colors pinks, greens and blues, otherwise the rest of the TV works normally. There are no vertical/horizontal lines on the screen and outside of the weird colors the entire screen looks good. The internal menu of the TV or playing a DVD produces the same issue.

What could be the problem?
