A three wire wax bypass cap?!?!?!

Working on this 1940-ish RCA AA5 set, and I run across this. In all the hundreds of radios I've had my hands in, NEVER seen one before. Worst part about it is that the marks on the cap don't correspond to the wires coming from the cap, so I'll have to find a schematic to see what's what.

Not sure of the model number of the set.
