Cheap CRT tester- okay for emissions testing?

I'm getting backed up on many TV projects, simply cause I'm waiting to purchase a decent model CRT tester, but can't afford a good one right now...
The decent models are $200+

Was wondering if I could simply buy an older, more generic CRT tester,
strictly for testing the emissions?
I see many in the $20-50 range.
