Angry Realistic dx300 sensitivity problem

I have a nos receiver I bought new in 1979 and stored for 30 yrs. It's in the hands of an excellent tech. Having severe sensitivity issue. All obvious issues checked. 455 ceramic filter ist if replaced. Was definitely bad. Pre selector is peaking normally. Anyone have this receiver and have any suggestions. The unit was stored properly and the caps appear okay. This is as close to new as you can get. Example of signal problem- a 50,000 watt am station which is 20 miles from site with outdoor antenna shows 1 on meter. Other receivers show s9. Any thoughts
