Sears Toshiba dump tv

Hello all, I have a Sears Tv built by toshiba that has been bugging me. When displaying static, the screen fills all the way. When input is applied, there is a black gap at the bottom of the screen and at the top there are some lines. Also this tv will sometimes work fine for hours, while other times it will flicker and drive me crazy. These problems aren't too bothersome, but when I get around to restoring it I need an idea where to look. Tv repair is new to me, but I have been doing repairs for years.

The interesting thing about this poor tv is that I got it from the dump. It was filled with water and had been sitting out in constant rain for a few days at least. This thing has been given a new life and is currently being used with an original Nintendo I found with it (also filled with water, and also mud).

Any input would be appreciated. It suprised me how nice this tv actually is. When I saw it was a Sears I didn't think highly of it, but this unit has changed my opinion of vintage Sears.
