For years, when my nephews were young, we went to a festival in Grand Ledge, MI every year. People would display their exhibits on an island in the Grand River.
Several groups displayed farm engines at these events. They basically did everything electric motors on farms and in factories did - but used gasoline, because many farms had not yet been electrified.
Many of these engines were Fairbanks-Morse.
An arm lifting a weight seems like a silly logo on a TV set, but I guess it has circuitry for the vertical hold.
