Collapsed vertical picture in Motoral 1959

I am visiting a friend in Cincinnati and decided to investigate his old Motoral. Sound is great, brightness is great, horizontal fills screen, but vertical is collapsed. I have lots of caps of various pF with me, and connected them across the old paper ones, improved the sound and brightness. But no vertical.

I don't have access to Sams facts until Monday. Any ideas?
