Silvertone badged Electrostatic deflection set similarly to Teletone TV-208
A few years ago I bought a basket case Silvertone electrostatic deflection set off of Kamakiri. I've been on a an electrostatic deflection TV restoration kick the last 2 weeks and I finally have the stones to try and restore the thing. This set was given a used parts recap in the mid 60s by what I presume was a kid or someone who had no business doing this kind of work. There's all kinds of bad workmanship from small screwes being replaced by gigantic bolts to that wire splice covered in a bandaid to keep the lectricity from bleeding out.
![]() ![]() Stuff is certainly miss wired but I have a problem...I don't know the model the cabinet and chassis layout look identical to a Teletone TV-208. Does anyone know the Silvertone model and if it has any significant differences from the TV-208 schematic (the 208 Sam's is on the ETF and I have been working off of it).
