Help with a 1982 RCA XL-100 GGR659SR?
I recently obtained a 1982 RCA XL-100, I think it's a 25" model. I don't really know anything about how these things work. It primarily functions well but it has an odd issue that results in a horizontal displacement that I think is being caused by images with high contrast. Do any of you have insight into what is happening here?
Here is an image of the sticker on the back of the set. Here is a video clip of the issue happening with signal through the coaxial from a VCR and a Super Famicom hooked up to it. Here is another clip with the signal through the VHF screws coming from my home VHF broadcast. I've noticed that white text on a black background seems to displace quite often. Though when the image fades or cross dissolves the displacement tapers off, making me think this is a conditional issue. I have a slowed video clip to show an example of this. At the beginning and end of the clip you can see the displacement fade in and out. Is there a simple fix for this issue? |
