Yeah, I'm going to be extra careful around that (plan is to avoid touching underchassis or the HV wiring while powered)... Especially given in the last two months while working on my Dumont RA-103 I forgot it had the audio out transformer on the speaker that was left in the cabinet and after successfully accidentally running it as an OTL amp with a modern speaker for a while accidentally completed the output tubes plate path across my chest reconnecting a speaker lead...It didn't injure me (theoretically it should have killed me) but definitely reminded me that some things should be minded better.

Yes, I had this luck, I won it for small money (seen with the eyes of a european
collector), because that auction house is not well-known like ebay.

When this picture tube will work under typical voltages, the emission will rise.
I just powered up an early 70s TV set, which was places for decades inside a massy home.
It was so dirty, that I decided to part it out, just because its low value and
bad condition.
In the beginning the screen was closeby dark. After about 10 minutes the picture (snow) became brighter and brighter.

Great that your set "lives" now among all your other TV sets.

BUT, question:
I see your National-Panasonic VCR. I have the same as a european version,
bought that new back in summer 1981. Price was back then about 2200,- Deutsch Marks! Awful lot of money!

I would like to buy an american RF-converter (Ch: 3/4) of it.
Just this model!

With regards to the VCR I bought that on the trip last weekend too. I've been searching for a knob tuned VHS top loader for years and don't plan on selling any part of it...Sorry.
Now that I have that Panasonic made Magnavox I can say I have every VHS deck I need in my collection and stop actively looking for more.
