Canadian Electrohome TV with Chinese cabinet?

A visitor to my website sent this intriguing email:

I HAVE AN OLD ELECTROHOME TV I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED A CHIPPENDALE 21 -- IT IS IN A CONSOLE -- BLACK- DOORS OPEN AT TOP--- GOLD TRIM - CHINESE BIRDS -- 3 DIMENSIONAL TYPE WOOD CARVING ON DOORS -- I CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE CAN YOU HELP I HAVE HAD IT FOR OVER 20 YRS

I have seen DuMont and Stromberg Carlson TVs with Chinese cabinets, but never heard of one from Electrohome (a Canadian manufacturer). Seems like the Chinese cabinet fad lasted from the late 1940s to mid-1950s, but what do I know?

Any clues? I told the owner to contact Canadian radio clubs, and try phoning a public library in case they have an RCC schematic (if there even are RCC schematics for televisions . . .).

Anyhow, something a little different.
