In 1990 I took the last of several field trips to the Smithsonian American History Museum. It so happened that they were having an exhibit on radio/television. I ate it up. There was a stack of great table top TV sets from the 10-12" era, all "working" thanks to a Trinitron stuck inside

It bothered me for years, wondering if they had scrapped the guts.
