I have tried it out.

I tried the TV using a variac and had it on 60 volts for over an hour. I had to turn off the variac at 105 volts because I still had no picture or sound and one of the Horizontal Output Tubes was glowing cherry red. The first thing I guess that needs to be done is to replace all of the electrolytics? Then retry plugging in the TV with the variac?
