skipping...

Only on the outer edge of records. And I tried different records, some do some don't. But only towards the outside, never towards the center. Tried cleaning the ones that do skip, no difference. Now I tried different copies of the same record, and found out it strangely always skipps only in specific parts of specific songs on every single copy of the same record.
I tried an adjustment on the back of the arm with a spring that adjusts how much pressure is on the needle and turned it all the way up, it helped but it didn't entirely fix it. Could this just be caused my old worn out needle? The only adjustment on this is for pressure down (actually it's the opposite, the spring pulls up on the arm) and there isn't one which puts resistance on the movement of the arm, it just moves freely.
