I got the set home safe and sound this afternoon. My father was kind enough to help deliver the set.

I always peruse craigslist for vintage or antique TV, or just plain tv in either collectibles or free section.

I came across an ad that stated "free until friday." in the list was "1960s RCA Victor New Vista Color tv set" I emailed and the owner told me it was her original tv set she bought new in 1961. She and her husband were retiring to a smaller apartment and couldn't take most of their stuff with them. The set had quit working sometime in the 90s and they just put it in the garage. The place was a ranch in alpine, ca

I have yet to discover the true condition of the set's electronics and CRT, but I think someone replaced the CRT at some point with a 21JFP22 because there is evidence of a cataract on the CRT face --and the set has safety glass.

I am stoked.
