I know the score on that set... There were companies that bought small-screen trade-in TVs from the late 40s, retrofitted with a larger tube and new custom cabinet, and resold in stores. I've had a couple of them. This one looks like a 1948-ish 10" RCA chassis.
That IS the nicest cabinet I've ever seen on one of those update sets. Charles
