Thanks guys, I'll have to start looking for the Sams for the B&W sets. I have decided not to mess with the color set until I have more experience. The last thing I want to happen is to get in over my head and like Ian said go insane and lose all interest.
I guess now it all depends on which Sam's I find first, that'll be my next project. I'll keep you guy's posted. |

Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted in a while, for many reasons, including painting the house. My second project is coming to an end and I wanted to share it with everyone. It's a '48 Admiral Triple Thrill with a 10" round picture tube. I'm getting ready to put it all back together and call it done. I've got about 40 hours, after recap, on the TV and so far so good. I've got it hooked into a converter box and it's awesome!! I'm including the link to the web page http://www.freewebs.com/cdmarion/cur...t48admiral.htm There will be many more pic's to come so check back often. This will be my last project until the winter so I hope you guy's have a great summer. And I'll see you when it gets cold. (Hint, Next project is a 1950 Philco combo also on the web site.) Thanks again to everyone who helped me get started in this hobbie. It's one of the more satisfying things I've done. Sincerely Chris |
