Looks a lot like this Stromberg Carlson 24" set. Someone REALLY should save it, not many 24 inch roundies out there.

Thanks for the info. Im not too familar with the early 50's TVs other than zeniths. Im going to the sale saterday and will check it out. Looks like the basement is rather dirty or or moisture issues. Hopefully the TV is OK. Its probably been down there since 1963..............

That model 24 Stromberg Carlson from 1951 has problems supporting the 24AP4 CRT. Early versions had numerous broken CRTs from the bracket pulling loose from the cabinet top. Later versions had a reinforced bracket assembly.Treat that heavy girl gently. |
