I would, if you haven't already, do the neon or cfl light test. Are you familiar? (these type of bulbs will glow if held near HV AC)

If the horiz osc is running but on the wrong frequency you might not get HV.

The other simple thing: if it uses an ion trap, try moving it around. Granted, you didn't ask dumb questions-but these may be dumb answers I gave!

Not dumb at all, thanks for the help!

I did the CFL test like Eric H. described in the earlier thread. Nothing at all on the suspect chassis; lit like a champ on the other.

I'm going to check the horiz oscillator frequency next, good idea.

Would improper ion trap setting cause no HV? I didn't think i would but what do I know?
