So, did you buy this thing?

I'm thinking it could be a farm radio, those were usually very simple and inexpensive. Chassis was small because there was no power transformer. A look in the back would tell.

Also, I know a guy in your area (I think) who does great restoration as a cottage business. I could hook you up, if you want.
