Most people have no idea about brand names of their TV. Who would go through the effort of a model number and actually say its a "color" TV. Ive yet to see that on craigslist.

I'm not sure how some of these scams work, but not all of them on c-list involve white van speakers or a two-year-old car for $3500.

Last year I listed a station wagon on c-list for $1500. Nothing special or valuable, an '81 Catalina Safari. About 2 weeks later I got a call from someone in Tacoma, Washington wanting to come drive the car. I'm in New Orleans! Someone copied my ad, removed most of my description, and added their e-mail but forgot to remove my phone number and posted it on a c-list up there. Glad I didn't get more phone calls.

Anything to steal a buck...
