There is something neat about those later "flat-back" sets with the high deflection angle tubes. Until I saw the back of this one I had kinda forgotten about them. Long ago I had an early/mid-60s GE in a cheap cabinet; tested dead and at the time I couldn't repair my way out of a wet paper bag, so long gone.

I just looked up the model # you posted. Sam's doesn't list it with the chaiss # together

Sometimes, GE used a portable TV chassis and CRT for a shallow console TV. Viewed from the back of such a console, it looked literally like someone mounted a portable set in the console (but it wasn't a DIY job). This console had a really big oval speaker outside the normally portable set cabinet, below the CRT in the console.
