After I gutted the set I kept the chassis around for awhile for TV sound (third shelf down on the right. You can see the channel changer sticking all the way up to the second shelf).

That was a metal shelf, too. I guess I didn't think the HV was just all of a sudden going to come on, or anything

Too bad you can't get that one back. The "Miss America" model seems much scarcer than other Predictas. I have never seen one in the flesh.

I thought that was a cool set, too, particularly with the swivel base. But the lack of HV was beyond my years at the time. Also, I was REALLY trying to find a COLOR set. But never did get color until mid '80's!
