That's not really true. Although it's been noted in lots of magazines, and articles that Telemundo was the first one with color T.V., that honor falls in WAPA, Channel 4. I have a collection of vintage TV Guide from 1965-1970, which clearly describes that, since 1966, WAPA was showing some movies and TV series, like Batman, in COLOR. The first local show broadcast in color was Rambler Rendezvous, in 1967. Vilma Carbia was the first local face seen in color on Puerto Rican TV. Also, Criada A La Orden, Velda Gonzalez sequel to La Criada Malcriada sitcom, was also taped in color. Telemundo started color TV from their new Studios in Hato Rey, even though ti wasn't finished. Their first color show was a music special with singer Raphael from Spain. It was on January, 1968. They didn't start broadcasting in color properly 'till April 1968, when they finally moved to their new building...
