Firestone in Iowa

I hope someone can save this. I can't justify a 10-hour round trip to get this one.

It's an RCA 721 clone so 47 48 would be my guess.

I'll dig up the Sams and see when it was published.

Well I'm way off, Sams 73-5 pub. 10/1949

It's similar to a 721 but is probably closer to some of the Tele-Tone sets of the era.

Compare this rear view of a Tele-Tone to the pic in the auction, even the black grease pencil looks similar, maybe written by the same person!

Well there was a Firestone version of the Teletone TV-149. Maybe Teletone made more sets for Firestone. That tuner kind of reminded me of the tuner on the '149.

Eric,, that is amazing,, sure looks like the same writing and who knows. I have no sets built in the 40's. Got my eye on this one.
