Can anyone ID this TV as well?

This is the very first tv my family owned-according to my Dad, it was a '49 Admiral 12", purchased new in 1949. I'd say he is right on with that. Can anyone give me a model number for this one?

As for other details in this picture, that's my Dad with his new Howdy Doody doll, and that's my Uncle Jim's framed picture on the Tv. Badly wounded in occupied Hamburg, he went on to serve in Korea and Vietnam.

Wow that's an amazing photo and story. So cool to see a set in it's original setting!
My dad was drafted during the Korean conflict but was never sent overseas.
He remembers having an Admiral 10" or 12" Admiral too

I'm pretty sure the set in your picture is an Admiral 24C16. I'm looking at mine right now

Thank You! Banderson, I had a pretty good hunch you would have the answer. I knew you had the blonde version of this, but the fact that you have the very set in question makes me more than a little green with envy.

I guess the hunt is on to find my own set. My Dad remembers watching quite a lot of stuff on this with his Father, and I would love to be able to give my Dad a similar set and do the same with him. Maybe someday...I already have a spare crt set aside for just such a purpose.

Nuts, the attachments aren't there anymore.

There's a similar 24A125 on eBay right now in Weymouth, MA

I have one, lighter finish than Banderson's but otherwise pretty much the same. Needs refinishing. Kinda sorta works, a little! Something I could be talked out of...
