possible 15gp22 patch

I know someone that used a test rig color CRT in place of the problematic 15gp with good results.

John has done some awesome work to preserve TV history many thanks on trying. I recently got rid of a TV project because that too was fritted CRTs and the cost to ship back and forth to France was too great.

It's a shame these tubes are so tempermental given their complex structure that provides many complications. If someone would experiment making an all glass crt 15g w/ old phosphor face? Very involved but a cleaner and simpler design.

That CRT patch works good ONLY if not a purists. Thompson or others @ RCA trashed critical engineering data needed probaly years ago to rebuild this complicated tube. The efforts here are great, remember RCA spent years developing Color CRTs.

I'm interested in a ct-100 if anyone has one kicking around.

It seems to me that there would be value in commissioning the design of a replacement CRT more like a 21FJP22 that could be compatible with the CT100 Even if some circuit modifications had to be made to the chassis. I'm thinking of the convergence circuits. Sure they would be expensive but this is a rare set that would be worth it.

Wouldn't that eliminate some of the uniqueness of the CT-100? As I've learned here in the past few weeks, it used a different color reproduction method than most color tube TVs.
