Rats! I saw a similar remote at the TS recently, but I passed because of the VCR controls... I wrongly assumed VCRs didn't have wireless remotes in '84. I should have remembered that I bought our first Beta recorder in '83 specifically because it had a wireless remote. It cost $700, while they were still selling wired remote models for < $500.

I went back yesterday but it was gone.

I had a ctc-121 colortrak with a similar huge remote center.... I'm not sure if this info is of any use to you, but the composite video inputs went through the tuning system--channels 91-92-93 (A1-A2-A3) enabled them to be used...And I recall having great difficulty figuring out how to set the onscreen clock

These are some of my alltime favorite sets...the mid 80s high-end RCAs. You don't see too many around my way, even though they were pretty good in the reliability dept.
