what CRT is this?

It looks like a 19AP4, although there is no way to be sure. There is a discussion about this tube here: http://www.antiqueradios.com/forums/...er=asc&start=0 . If you are in a position to go test it, it might be big help to everyone involved.

I'd bet it's a commercial 19AP4, but I don't show that number in the RCA Tube Manual. It's a standard gun, so it should work in a 19" TV. The only question would be phosphor speed and color.

The tube is probably a 19AP4. The base shows RCA service co. When RCA service co. repaired sets under contract, they would milk their crt's until the bloody end. Then they would replace it with one of those tubes. The 5839 is a warrantee code date.

well its too late to check now, did not hear back from him and I have to get back to work, so does not look like I will be getting out there to test.
