Early CTC chassis to Check-a-Color connections

Homemade adapter details:
-I have a box of lots of extra adapters, so I built this by modifying an RCA 10J216 yoke adapter because it already had the octal plug and jack. The adapter uses an octal plug, octal jack, and 5-inch lengths of 16-gauge 600V-rated wire, ideally.

For the CTC-5, wire the plug pins to the jack pins as follows:

Plug 1 to jack 1
Plug 2 to jack 2
Plug 5 to jack 4
Plug 8 to jack 6

Also wire plug pin 3 to plug pin 7.

For the CTC-4 (and CTC-2B, but I have not tested one), you will also need to add a wire from plug pin 1 to plug pin 6. (Do NOT leave these two pins shorted if you use the same adapter on a CTC-5. Add a switch to open this jumper, or make two separate adapters if you have both chassis types.)

Let me know if you have any questions. I have used my CK3000 on a CTC-4 and CTC-5, and at some point I will be making adapters as needed for a CTC-2 (CT-100).
