If it's Salt Lake City, bet it's a Utah brand speaker.

One of My "Du-u-h" Moments.
It never occurred to me that "UTAH" was a brand name--I though the big, bold letters reflected state pride. Perhaps I should have shown this picture (left) with my original question. I found the same sticker on a photo (right) of a horn speaker driver.
![]() I noticed that later "Utah" speakers were manufactured in Chicago. - Winky |

Closure for this Thread
I know many of you have been staying up nights, worrying about identification of this speaker. To summarize this thread: Acquired an Atwater Kent 37 paired with an unknown model of Utah speaker. (Previous photos no longer available)
![]() Notice on the underside of the base there are two threaded columns for screw attachment. ![]() I was doing some research for RadioMuseum, and I came across this ad: ![]() So, it's actually a Findlay-Apex-FADA-Utah! speaker. At the time of manufacture Utah speakers were made in Salt Lake City. I think they moved to Chicago in the 1930's. Finally, after eight years, we can close this thread and everyone can get some sleep! -Henry
