Next up I buffed the cabinet with multiple rounds of first Noxon then Novus #2. Finally, a little Simichrome.
Then, I buffed out the faceplate and channel plate and reattached them. Next, I rubbed white paint into the recessed lettering. Finally, that left the dreaded speaker grille. The best technique I could come up with was to smear Novus into the holes, wait for it to dry and buff out with Q-tips and toothpicks ![]() ![]() Quite a bit of work, but I think it's worth it. ![]() The black bakelite has the same opalescent "grain" as the brown does. ![]() Any volunteers to tackle this one ![]()
