Looks like a homebrew. $25 is right in line with that, as homebrew sets tend to be worth less than factory-built sets from the same period. It probably takes 01A tubes, which are still fairly common to find.

01A's are starting to get pricey. It's also a battery set, so you will need a battery eliminator to run it. Usually 3 different voltages involved. Otherwise not much to them.
