Not without tools, for a CTC4 I would probably risk scratching the car a little and slide it onto the roof, then drive home slowly with one hand on the set.
Of course my car is a 12 year old Civic, if it was a new Lexus or something maybe not.

Several years ago, I saw a few knuckle heads haul a used rug from a thrift shop on the roof of a late model Saab. It was rolled up that the jute backing was exposed. I thought, with the amount of damage they did to the paint job, the whole house could have been carpeted.
