My forum handle is among the easier to remember: It's my ham call! (And, ecologically correct as it's "recycled"! And, I'm one of the few hams with a callsign that was originally a broadcast TV callsign...)

And, as for being new to the hobby, after your first ETF convention, you'll be an experienced hand guiding others. Also, don't be surprised if you find yourself sharing your knowledge as all of are students and teachers. In fact, the banquet has even had the occasional prom!

Videokarmaites 2005

Here's a group photo of Videokarmaites (then known as Audiokarmaites) circa 2005:

Not sure who everyone is, or VK handles. Maybe folks in the photo can identify themselves.

That's me in the front row, third from left. I'm pretty sure the fellow to the left of me in the photo is named Dave too, but Dave I can't recall your last name. It looks like John Folsom is right behind me sporting a huge smile. Chuck Azar is kneeling all the way to the right, with John Pinckney behind him in the red checkered shirt. Looks like Ron Steinberg second from left standing and maybe George Lemaster to the left of him. And maybe that's Richard Dean in the very corner of the room. I think I see Alex Magoun's head peeking out in the very center of the back row. Wayne Bretl in the middle of the middle row in the light blue shirt. Chuck Pharis is to the right of him, one row back and Wayne Abare is to the left of Chuck. Third from the right is Ed Reitan. All the way on the right is Peter Yanczer. (I'm pretty sure that's Peter's wife next to him, but she's standing closer to Ed. What's up with that?) Looks like maybe Big Dave "evil furnace man" to Ed's left all the way in the back. And the rest are either too fuzzy to make out or I'm just drawing a blank just now.

My call sign is N4MLS. When I first got my Amateur License, I took my wife out to dinner to celebrate - hey this is a true story. Over dinner I told her that I got my license and the call sign was N4MLS. She's blonde by the way. She thought about it for only a couple minutes and stated "I can remember it. Yeah, it stands for Ninety-Four Million Loose Screws". Thats a true story BTW.

Hope to meet everyone there. BTW, I have the worst memory for peoples names so please don't be offended if I end up asking your name several times. I can usually remember the car you drive and probably a TV you restored much easier than I can remember your name. A form of "senioritis":-)

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, but if any of you is headed there and has room, that's headed out toward Mass (I believe), I have a CTC-4 cabinet for tvdude1 that has to go his way. I'm in Buffalo and might be able to meet somewhere on your way back

Where's Waldo (Terry)?

Hmmm ... 2005 was my first time at the convention, but I can't seem to find my mug. Oh well; here's what I look like now.
See you there.

For those of you attending,

I know there is an unofficial dinner after the meet and greet at the museum and a breakfast one of the mornings, for the lift of me I can't remember where or when....

Can someone enlighten me?

I think dinner Friday night is ad hoc; Breakfast is usually at Bob Evans next to Hampton Inn and across Cemetary road from Motel 6. (Cemetary Road W of 270)

Some people also do a banana cream pie pigout at Max and Erma's AFTER the Saturday banquet.

For all of you hams that are going, maybe we should have a "Talk in frequency" I was thinking of the W8ZPF repeater it's at 146.6700 the pl is 131.8 it has negitive offset and is an open repeater.
