Amen. I use my tester (a cheap Sencore "Mighty Mite") once at the beginning of each project, to quickly check the existing tubes and weed out bad ones. After that, it goes back onto the shelf until the next project.

I own other testers (including a Precision 10-12), but they are collectibles, not workhorses.
