Sonys about that time had seperate ckts for horizontal sweep and the HV. Check for a bad Horizontal output transistor, open caps, etc. Back in the day seens like only original Sony transistors worked as replacements. good luck.

Good luck: You're going to need it. First thing you have to do is check for loose connections on the horizontal drive board. I don't know if 2SC267's are still available.
Those Sony's are great sets, but when they die, they die a miserable death.
