The way the MPX is set up on those, you cannot just "plug" one in like on some sets. They have to be hard wired and mounted into the chassis(mpx in, L & R out, B+, MPX on/off-mono/stereo and ground, jumper from MPX out to L/R in removed). There is a terminal strip under a cardboard cover on the chassis. No RCA jacks. You can wire one up but probably voided the warranty. More than likely was a maggie unit made for this tuner. The coming pictures should tell.

I have three of those tuners and none of them have the MPX option. It looks like an easy installation. All the connections are brought out to the terminal board. It doesn't look like there's an option for a stereo indicator lamp, but don't quote on that statement.
The tuner itself, doesn't look like anything impressive. My opinion only!
