I'd probly put that on a power strip till you find out what the story is. I've got two old solid states sets with that "instant on" or whatever each of the companies calls this "feature"....and they are on power strips so I don't slowly piss away the CRT.

My current "holy grail" is trying to get enough parts together to get a Singer TV6U going. Been kicking my ass for nearly a year now :-P
