Well, somebody got one nice DuMont, but I guess it was none of us. I came really close and the owner came off of the firm price. Could have had it for $150, but I was given that word along with the statement that the set had to move THAT day. I just didn't have the time to get down there. Carl, I hope it was you who got it! The fact remains that I need another set like a hole in my head, but special arrangements could have been made for this one. I have a feeling that the set was in working condition as is because it was owned by a collector who passed and this relative just wanted to be rid of it.

Oh well, one day I will find the right DuMont at the right time. I can't take on the monolithic sets, but they made some nice table models which at this point suit me more that the space eating floor models.
