Greetings!
I recently posted an online ad for an old television; a Sylvania Halolight. It is in working order: halolight, tube and speakers. It is a table top model (no console) with a blonde finish. I find it quite attractive, though I have no need for it. I posted it for $50, and had someone nearly knock down my door for it, and then promised $75 if I took the ad down. Do I have something special, or am I just dealing with an avid collector? I can post photos, if it is desired. thanks for your help! Patrick |

As with anything else, it all depends on the model, condition, location, etc. Some Halolights have been reposted on Craigslist locally for under $50 here for over a year with no takers, while other models are certainly worth more.

Some sets like that bring a high price if it tickles some kitsch decorator's fancy, working or not.
I paid $40 for a restorable 1959 21"Halolight set with integral metal stand, complete but it needs a full restore.

Thanks guys, I figured that was the case. Nice to know there is a community out there interested in seeing these things working again!
