I had a Candle tv years ago. 19" black glossy plastic cabinet, color, early-mid 1980's, mechanical tuners. Never had a problem with it - my Father watched it for years and gave it to me around 1997. I passed it on to a college buddy who didn't own a TV about a year later. Never have seen another one like it though.

I never saw a Candle color set.
I know they were one of the first Japanese producers of radios and small B/W TV's. They also made private label products, as well.
Someone else must be using their name, as I thought they were out of business.
