Scott 6T11 projection TV

I have a couple cosmetic questions for anyone who has one of these sets.

Looking at the backside of the screen where the foldouts attach, I have a 3/4" spacer on the left, but none on the right. I'm guessing the right side had a spacer too, but the wood broke loose like it has in the left and someone removed it and drove the screw deeper into the frame ?


I'm also wondering about this spring loaded flap over the power supply. It seems to serve no purpose other than getting in the way ?

Spring loaded flap on left rear holds up left side of lid.
Right side is different support.

Thanks! Duh, of course it does, I was just too dense to realize The support on the right is intact but has broken loose from the lid.
