For some reason, that struck me as funny, being able to identify a 56 year old dryer like that.

Well in all honesty, the dryer he called a Lady Kenmore was in reality a 1958 Frigidaire.

In 1961, my parents bought a Lady Kenmore wringer washer. My mother tried an automatic washer and didn't like it. She said they used too much water and soap and took too long for all the cycles.
The only one they had in stock, was a pink machine and she needed it right away. She claimed it cost as much as an automatic.
