I also have an Alliance HIR-2, maybe similar. The only devices are a left-right switch and " go back" light for end of rotation

All of them I worked on were 24 volts AC.
IIRC, the NEC restricted class two wiring to 25 volts.
The U100 rotors were OK, but the control box, made too much racket. When I installed antennas, I used the C225's or the German built RCA's. They used the electronic servo controls. The customers liked them a lot better.
With the U100, you had to use the reset button, on the bottom of the controller, to recalibrate the rotor, when the wind would knock it out of alignment.
