Good luck, its nice to see one of these improve as you go along and recap.
I have an RCA model 8T241 and that must be the same chassis, I haven't had the nerve to power it up. I understand these sets were excellent in fringe areas. Mine was a local set and there was not a local VHF station until mid-49, so they must have been pulling in from at least 60 miles away.
