Check your caps in the power supply that would be a good place to start...

Yep exactly. Bad caps in the SMPS. Use Low ESR caps when you replace them.

Good deal. i'll check them out and find replacements. I'm wonderinf if Radio Shack will have them. Bought some caps a couple years ago from them.
