A third and different tube for a 40s radio was a Ken-Rad. I've had some, but I can't remember how they held out. Shouldn't be a problem. I sent you a PM.

Ken-Rad was one of the oldest tube suppliers out there. Their tube stood up as well or better, than a lot of the other brands.
