While cleaning the inside of the set, I happened to notice a raised GE logo on the inside of the front frame. I guess GE made this case and maybe the set for them. It looks close to the GE locomotive set, I wonder how similar?

I've only seen pictures of the chassis, genuine Crosley.
GE was in just about every line of business. Plastics, electrical insulation and varnishes. They must've had a bakelite molding plant, where they made that cabinet, as well as their own. |

Good observation and a very interesting find. Obviously GE supplied Crosley with the cabinets in an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the GE "locomotive".

Just when I was excited to find one, after searching for years; another one falls in my lap. Found it at an auction in a tiny town in Illinois. Pretty dirty, but cleaned up and proudly sitting next to the other!
