It's a forced air system, upgraded to include air conditioning, but poorly, and a humongous, loud gaspack outside of the master bedroom window. I ran a gas ventless heater all last winter to avoid some issues, and saved a couple hundred in heating bills.

My gaspack has a bad heat exchanger, rust due to a condensation pan back-up and is on it's third blower cutout. I'm looking now to replace it with a ductless split unit, probably a 24000 BTU unit with three indoor units. We have one of the split unit setups at our church, and with the exception of the condensate drainage, I like them.
